Whaaat? What’s this? A midweek post?! Yeah, it’s a little strange but it’s gonna happen at some point. I have other pictures to post sometimes! This post is actually an old photo that’s long overdue. If you keep up with my posts when I publish them, you might remember my segmented portrait series I started working on last summer. I had a post about my friend Maria and how she had just graduated from nursing school & was working on becoming an RN. Well, earlier this year she passed her test and is almost to full RN status! :’) I’m so proud of her. Anyway, here’s her segmented photo that I finally got around to working on. Squeee! So, the first person I got to shoot was one of my best friends Handro! I’ve known this guy since we were 5 and even though he goes to school super far, we still have kept in touch. He just graduated so he came back home (yay!), but he’s going back to work & I’m not sure when I’ll see him again (wah..). So, I knew if I wanted him to be a part of my series I had to act fast. As long as I’ve known him, he’s been a soccer fanatic. Can’t wait to edit his picture so be on the lookout for it soon!

Hey everyone! I decided to take on some portrait series projects with my free time this summer. I have a few friends who have already agreed to be models (after I volunteered them of course 😀 haha). I am so excited to get this project rolling! How this series works is I’m taking a few different shots at different angles of the model’s body, then photoshopping the “segments” into a whole portrait. One thing that I want is for each model to have an object of importance to them to have in each frame. Whether it be a hobby they love or something that is important to them. I want the portraits to be more than just a regular portrait. I want it to be a representation of what the person is about.
